Nice to meet you, I’m Dr.Uche.
Researcher, Strategist, and Educator
I’m a strategic communicator, social scientist, and storyteller who seeks to understand the pressing issues of culture and society, while also aiming to best engage the people (or consumers) at the center of it all.
I’ve worked with a number of top consumer brands including Oral-B, Champion Apparel, and Huffy Bicycles, as a few examples. I’ve also been a professor at Howard University, teaching research skills to the next gen of communicators.
The goal has always been the same; provide culturally aware and sound communication tools through research and strategy. I do the same thing now as a consultant - reach out to learn more.
I’m also a fitness enthusiast and music junkie - you may find me hiking in Palos Verdes or DJing afrobeats at a LA lounge, who knows ☺.

Featured Projects:
UIU March MADNESS - 2025
UIU is a cultural organization that unifies Nigerians in the diaspora in 10+ US states & Canada. As Director of Content, I led the development of all social content, from creative to scheduling.
Leaning on a cultural moment, the March Madness challenge aimed to build online unity among the various chapters through 4 rounds of engagement boosting activities such as story postings, likes, and content creation.
This week-long campaign resulted in over 1,300 comments, 200+ shares, and a 2% increase in followers on the organization’s IG page.
HUFFY BICYCLES - 2020/2021
After identifying a spike in bike sales following COVID-19, I utilized this insight to generate media attention around Huffy Bicycles.
Targeted media outreach showcasing Huffy Bicycles as a way to safely get outdoors resulted in ample coverage in Today (3 articles), Reader’s Digest, Essence, People en Espanol, Parade, Romper, and a number of other publications.
The client shared feedback that this was the most media coverage they had received in the past decade.
IEEE X LORRIE CRANOR - 2019
IEEE is the world’s leading technical organization for engineers. One of its 2019 goals was to secure coverage that promotes diversity and inclusion.
Based on this, I pitched decorated engineer and member Lorrie Cranor to the media using storytelling to discuss the work she’s done with the White House regarding password security.
This was picked up by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (print + digital), and a leading podcast in cybersecurity. Other notable media hits while working with IEEE included Forbes and CNET.
